Job Description MerchandiserBirminghamOffice BasedI am currently recruiting for a Merchandiser to join an apparel brand based in the Midlands. You will be responsible for planning, forecasting and trading for specific season product lines. Supporting the Senior Merchandiser to ensure continued growth in the department.Some of your key responsibilities will include;Working collaboratively with buying to drive strategy for future seasons collections.Planning & preparing WSSI proposals for each department by season for all markets.Building relationships with internal teams to continuously develop & optimise product lines.Deliver the Merchandising & Supply strategy.Maximising both Sales & margins ensuring stock requirement achievedReviewing daily & weekly trading reports to reduce stock risksResponsibility for stock management to increase sales & reduce obsolete stock.Dealing & resolving any escalated central merchandise team queriesCollating figures and updating the senior Management team regularlyWorking cross functionally with warehousing, shipping, finance 'sales teams to optimise sales and margin, while ensuring high levels of professionalism are achieved.Monitoring key market & competitor activityKey requirement for the role;Previous experience within a Retail Merchandising environmentExcellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.Ability to work under pressure with proven problem-solving skills.Strong numeracy skills and ability to analyse & collate info from various sources.Commercially aware and business focussed.Able to manage & motivate your team to achieve both individual and team goals.Excellent understanding of all MS Office products especially ExcelIf you think you have the right experience within a Merchandising role, then get in touch and apply today.
