Job Description Health and Safety AdvisorBirmingham30k - 35kPAW Talent is proud to be supporting a market-leading organisation in the search for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their dedicated HSE team based in Birmingham. This role plays a vital part in maintaining statutory safety compliance, promoting a positive safety culture, and supporting continuous improvement across all levels of the business.As a Health and Safety Advisor, you'll assist in maintaining the company's statutory safety compliance in line with current legislation and help drive a proactive approach to health, safety, and environmental management across the site.Key Responsibilities: Support the HSE department in implementing an effective safety management system Participate in accident investigations and identify root causes with relevant departments Conduct risk assessments and help implement effective Safe Systems of Work Deliver site safety inductions for new starters and contractors Organise and manage external safety training providers Support routine compliance audits and inspections Contribute to short- and long-term initiatives to reduce safety incidents and observations Manage contractors and ensure their processes meet site standards Assist in waste management and statutory document control Oversee PPE control and reordering Chair monthly Health and Safety Committee meetings Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across the businessKey Requirements:Qualifications: NEBOSH General CertificateExperience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Health and Safety role Working knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001 standards Auditing experience Understanding of chemicals and hazardous substancesSkills:o Strong attention to detail and fact-finding abilityo Excellent communication and interpersonal skillso Ability to work independently and collaborativelyo Organised and proactive approachAttributes:o Approachable and engaging at all levelso Inquisitive and attentive natureo Passionate about continuous improvement and safety cultureWhat's on offer: 30k -35k PA Opportunity to join a forward-thinking, safety-driven organisation Supportive working environment with professional development opportunities Competitive salary and benefitsnpackage
