Environment, Health and Safety Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a SHEQ Manager to join a leading Specialist Highway Contractor, based in Birmingham. In this role you will develop, maintain and improve upon the existing Health & Safety principles of the business whilst also taking responsibility for shaping the hearts and minds of the operatives and managers within the business to ensure that they make Health & Safety a priority on every project. You will work closely with the senior management team to ensure that you have total buy in to the importance of Health & Safety in the workplace. Strong leadership skills are essential as you will also be managing and mentoring a large team of HSSE Professionals across the business. Candidates must have relevant qualifications (CMIOSH & NEBOSH preferable) and have experience of managing Health & Safety processes within a large civil engineering or construction firm. Specific skills in the highways, utilities or rail sector would be highly advantageous.
