You will be involved in making sausages from start to finish, ensuring top quality and adhering to food safety regulations. You’ll also support day-to-day factory operations to maintain efficiency.If this sounds like the opportunity for you, apply today to join a dedicated and friendly team, and help us continue to deliver high-quality products to our customers.Key Responsibilities:Sausage Production:Prepare and mix ingredients, including meat, spices, and casings.Operate sausage-making machines (stuffing, linking, and cutting).Ensure sausages meet production standards for size and quality.Monitor chilling processes and maintain food safety standards.Pack sausages and other products according to packaging guidelines.Perform quality control checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.Factory Operative Duties:Assist with the general operations of the factory, ensuring cleanliness and organisation.Operate additional machinery and tools during production.Support colleagues across various departments, including packaging, storage, and shipping.Handle manual tasks such as lifting, loading, and unloading raw materials and products.Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment.Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.Help with stock control and inventory management.The CompanyAW Lashfords has been providing high-quality produce since 1889, starting from a small shop in Kings Heath we now operate a manufacturing unit – only 2 miles from our site back then!
