Tree Surgeon

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tree Surgeon to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tree care and maintenance, ensuring the health and safety of trees in various environments. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, as well as a solid foundation in landscape maintenance and groundskeeping. Responsibilities Assess the health and condition of trees, identifying any issues that may require attention. Perform tree pruning, felling, and removal as necessary while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for tree care tasks, including chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders. Maintain the landscape by planting new trees, shrubs, and plants as well as performing regular garden maintenance. Dig trenches for irrigation systems or planting purposes, ensuring proper installation and functionality. Irrigate gardens and landscaped areas to promote healthy growth of plants. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery. Maintain equipment in good working order through regular checks and basic mechanical knowledge. Qualifications Proven experience in tree surgery or a related field is preferred but not essential for enthusiastic candidates willing to learn. Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance practices, including groundskeeping techniques. Proficient in using both hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance is advantageous. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining physical stamina for manual tasks. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards at all times.
