PICTURE YOURSELF … Watercrest Richmond is seeking an Environmental Services Director to oversee community upkeep. Responsibilities include leveraging technical building and managerial expertise to ensure health, safety, and cleanliness, assisting with housekeeping and plant operations, and creating excellent conditions for residents, families, visitors, and staff. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Display Servant Leadership qualities and confident decision-making. Conduct interior and exterior community inspections to maintain appearance and safety. Ensure the front entrance makes a positive first impression. Maintain cleanliness of glass, flowers, door mats, and doors. Ensure a safe, bacteria-free environment to promote health and productivity. Operate within the community budget. Assist with managing Maintenance IQ for equipment, work orders, and inspections. Support onboarding and manage housekeeping under company policies. Monitor occupancy for efficient turn processes. Follow all regulations and assist with surveys and inspections. Understand emergency procedures and assist in emergencies. Respond promptly to requests from residents, families, and staff. Identify repair needs and plan repairs using blueprints or manuals. Perform general repairs (e.g., drywall, painting, door repairs). Perform routine maintenance on building systems. Order supplies and perform other related duties. Be in uniform and prepared at all times. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Effective communication with all stakeholders. Ability to make independent decisions. Warm, friendly, and caring communication style. Knowledge of FHA, ADA, and building codes. Passion for working with seniors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Proven maintenance experience and skills with hand and power tools. Ability to disassemble and replace machine parts. Experience with measuring instruments and testing devices. Strong follow-up, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Valid driver’s license required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years in senior living environment and 5 years in hands-on building maintenance. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to drive, work under stress, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and working in awkward spaces. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Use PPE to protect against workplace hazards involving blood, chemicals, or physical injuries.#J-18808-Ljbffr
