Job Description Were supporting a high-growth, well-backed organisation at the forefront of EV infrastructure development.They are delivering next-generation high-power charging solutions across the UK, with strong backing, live projects, and a clear roadmap to scale both nationally and internationally.As part of this growth, they are looking to bring in a Civil Infrastructure Design Engineer to take ownership of site and infrastructure design across a portfolio of EV charging projects.The OpportunityThis is a hands-on, design-led role where youll play a key part in shaping how EV charging infrastructure is deployed at scale.Youll be responsible for the civil and site design of high-power charging installations, working across projects from early feasibility through to construction and delivery.Youll collaborate closely with DNOs, ICPs, contractors, and internal engineering teams, ensuring designs are both technically robust and commercially viable.What Youll Be DoingLeading civil infrastructure design for EV charging sitesProducing detailed designs including:Cable ducting & trenching layoutsFoundations & equipment basesSite layouts, access roads & hardstandingDrainage & groundworks considerationsSupporting site feasibility and surveysCoordinating with utilities (DNOs/IDNOs/ICPs) for grid connectionsDriving design reviews and value engineeringWorking across multiple projects, ensuring delivery is efficient, compliant, and buildableWhat Were Looking ForStrong background in civil infrastructure designExperience with utilities, ducting, trenching, or similar infrastructure worksProficiency in AutoCAD (2D)Experience working with or alongside utility providers or electrical infrastructure stakeholdersAbility to work independently and take ownership of design deliverablesBonus if you have:EV charging or energy infrastructure experienceExposure to DNOs / ICPsExperience across renewables, highways, or power projectsWhy This Role?Be part of a business actively scaling in the EV and energy transition spaceWork on complex, high-power infrastructure projectsGenuine opportunity to shape design standards and delivery approachStrong backing, clear growth trajectory, and real project pipeline
