Are you a highly experienced CNC Setter looking for that next step up more responsibility, more modern kit and a genuine long-term future? Our client is a rapidly growing precision engineering business thats recently invested heavily in brand-new CNC milling machines. Theyre part of a large, privately owned engineering group with an outstanding track record of success and stability and theyre now looking for a skilled CNC Setter who can take on more of a lead role on the shop floor. Whats On Offer Salary circa 34,000 10% shift allowance Bonus scheme Permanent role with a growing, well-backed engineering group Modern, well-equipped machine shop with recent investment in CNC mills Real opportunity to grow into a more defined lead / senior setter position The Role as a CNC setter Working primarily on CNC milling machines, you will: Set and operate a range of CNC milling machines Carry out tool changes, offsets and prove out programs Support getting new jobs up and running efficiently Help maintain high standards of quality and first-time pass rates Play a key part in improving set-up times and throughput Act as a go-to person for less experienced setters/operators on shift Shifts are on a rotating 6am2pm / 2pm10pm basis Mon-Thu and 6am - 12pm / 12pm - 6pm on Fridays. About You This role will suit an ambitious, driven and hands-on CNC Setter who: Has significant experience setting CNC milling machines (multi-machine experience a bonus) Is confident with tool changes, setting, and basic troubleshooting Takes pride in producing quality parts and hitting targets Enjoys sharing knowledge and naturally takes the lead when needed Wants to grow with a business that is investing in its people and machinery If youre an experienced CNC Setter (milling) in the Birmingham area and youre ready to step into a more influential role within a growing business, wed love to hear from you.
