We're looking for a Controls Engineer to lead our automation roadmap and deliver the PLC/SCADA architecture that will make this vision scale. What you'll do Design and Develop: Lead full-stack PLC, HMI, and Drive software development (Omron Sysmac, Siemens S7, Rockwell/A-B). Define Strategy: Shape control architecture and standardisation for modular, deployable facilities. Collaborate: Work with cross-functional technology teams, suppliers, and contractors to deliver high-performance automation across climate, nutrient, and robotics systems. Digitalisation: Integrate smart systems and industrial protocols (Profinet, EtherCAT, etc.), enabling real-time data and network-driven optimisation. Safety and Quality: Maintain exceptional standards of safety, compliance, and reliability in all deployed systems. What we're looking for 5+ years' experience in complex, automated environments (manufacturing, food, pharma, or process industries). Proven hands-on expertise with PLC platforms-Omron Sysmac preferred, Siemens S7 TIA Portal or Rockwell. Strong HMI/SCADA design capability. Solid understanding of industrial protocols (Modbus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT) and IT networking. A proactive engineer with a problem-solving mindset and genuine interest in sustainability.
