They are now looking for an experienced Technical Assessor/ Senior Technical Assessor to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the compliance and classification of waste following the relevant regulatory guidelines. This would suit candidates with 2+ years experience as a technical assessor at a waste company.Working Hours: Monday Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-2:30pm. 24 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays.Role / DescriptionConduct technical assessments of waste management operations to ensure compliance with environmental and industry regulations.Evaluate applications for permits, accreditations, or certifications related to waste processing, recycling, and disposal.Provide expert advice on waste classification, handling, treatment, and disposal methods.Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and internal teams to ensure consistent interpretation of waste legislation and best practices.Analysis of information to determine waste transportation methods (ADR/IMDG regs)Work alongside DGSAs, management, sales and chemists to facilitate smooth running of inbound and outbound waste streams.RequirementsRecent experience working as a technical assessor in the waste industryMinimum HNC in ChemistryDGSA preferredKnowledge and understanding of IOSH, ADR, WM3, IMDG and other waste regulationsSRG is the UKs number one recruitment company specialising in the scientific, engineering, clinical, pharmaceutical, food/FMCG, energy & renewables, biotech, chemical and medical device sectors.If you would like to apply for this position, please use the link provided.
