Job Description Compliance Assistant - Legal SectorFull time or Part time available Monday - Friday - Core office hoursBirmingham (Hybrid 2 days at home per week)30,000 (salary will be pro rata for part time candidates)Permanent Outsource UK is recruiting a Senior Compliance Assistant to join a high-performing finance team within a leading national law firm.This role will provide senior assistant support to help ensure compliance with Solicitor Regulation Authority Accounts Rules (SRA AR) and wider regulatory, policy and procedural requirements.You will work closely with compliance, finance operations and fee-earning teams while acting as a key point of contact for regulatory and compliance queries.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport monitoring of compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and internal procedures, including identifying, investigating and assessing potential breaches while maintaining registers and reportingProduce monthly and ad-hoc compliance reports and act as a key support contact across business services and national support teamsReview financial matters to identify residual balances, dormant matters and client account issues, supporting remediation activity and ensuring accurate documentationAssist with designated deposit accounts, interest calculations and management of balances requiring charitable donationProvide audit and regulatory support, including annual SRA audit and file reviews, preparation of regulatory forms and follow-up on non-complianceStay up to date with regulatory developments and undertake ad-hoc research to support ongoing compliance improvementsAbout YouA-level / degree (or equivalent) with strong English and Maths GCSE resultsExperience within a professional services or legal environment desirableKnowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and PowerPointFamiliarity with practice management systems (e.g. 3E or similar) advantageousComfortable using case management and database platforms (e.g. iManage or equivalents)Strong communication skills with confidence engaging senior stakeholdersCollaborative approach with excellent interpersonal skillsProfessional, resilient and discreetProven ability to influence and support process improvementBenefitsCompetitive salary (30,000 pro rata)Hybrid working modelStrong progression framework and development opportunitiesInclusive and supportive working cultureComprehensive benefits packageInterested?Apply now to be considered for this opportunity through Outsource UK.
