Working for a leading Fire Safety Company Region - West Midlands Pay: 44,000.00 per year Job description: Essential to apply: Must hold a valid UK driving Licence Must hold a level 4 diploma or equivalent qualification Minimum of 2 years experience conducting type 1 & 3 fire risk assessments Based in the West Midlands Region The Role: As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive fire risk assessments across a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and public buildings. You will identify potential fire hazards, evaluate existing fire safety measures, and provide clear, actionable recommendations to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practice. Key Responsibilities: Conducting detailed fire risk assessments in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and other relevant fire safety legislation. Identifying fire hazards and assessing the risk to people and property. Evaluating existing fire safety provisions, including means of escape, fire detection and alarm systems, emergency lighting, and firefighting equipment. Producing clear, concise, and professional fire risk assessment reports with actionable recommendations. Providing expert advice and guidance on fire safety matters to clients. Assisting clients with the development and implementation of fire safety management plans. Keeping up-to-date with changes in fire safety legislation, standards, and best practice. Maintaining accurate records of assessments and recommendations. Essential Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a Fire Risk Assessor, with a strong understanding of various building types and fire safety challenges. Recognised qualification in fire safety (e.g., NEBOSH Fire Certificate, FPA qualifications, ABBA Level 4 diploma in fire risk assessment or equivalent). Thorough knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and associated guidance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in using relevant software for report writing and data management. Full UK driving license and willingness to travel throughout the UK.
