Job Title: Business Development Manager Early Years Apprenticeships Salary: 50,000 58,000 OTE Location: Birmingham Hybrid working Contract: Permanent Role Overview We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to lead employer engagement and grow apprenticeship opportunities within the Early Years Education sector . You will play a pivotal role in building strong partnerships with nurseries, schools, and early years settings, ensuring apprentices are placed in the right roles to thrive. This is an exciting opportunity to combine business development expertise with a passion for supporting education and workforce growth. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Employer Engagement Identify, target, and engage with Early Years settings to generate apprenticeship opportunities. Build long-term, trusted relationships with employers, acting as a strategic partner. Promote the benefits of apprenticeships and provide guidance on programme options. Develop tailored solutions to meet employer workforce needs. Apprenticeship Placement Match apprentices with suitable roles, ensuring alignment of skills, career goals, and employer requirements. Work closely with intake and training teams to ensure a smooth onboarding and placement process. Monitor placements to ensure both apprentices and employers are fully supported. Strategic Growth Deliver against business development and placement targets. Contribute to the overall apprenticeship strategy by identifying new opportunities and market trends. Represent the organisation at sector events, networking opportunities, and employer forums. Administration & Reporting Maintain accurate records of employer engagement activity. Report on performance, pipeline, and outcomes to senior management. Ensure compliance with funding and quality requirements. About You Essential: Proven experience in business development, sales, or employer engagement. Strong knowledge of apprenticeships, education, or the Early Years sector. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Target-driven with a proven track record of achieving business growth. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture. Desirable: Existing networks within Early Years or Education sectors.
