Job Description Managing Director Birmingham (Hybrid 3-4x pw) 120,000 + PerksOur client is a heritage brand with deep cultural roots and a unique product range. With listings in all four major retailers and increasing demand across channels, the business is now poised for scale under new ownership. We are looking for a hands-on, operationally-minded Managing Director to lead the next phase of growth modernising the factory, building systems, improving margins, and developing a high-performing culture across the business. Role & Responsibilities: Operational LeadershipLead all manufacturing and production operations to improve output, quality, and consistency.Modernise factory operations and address inefficiencies.Strategic Growth & ExecutionBuild and execute a practical 23 year transformation plan for the business.Prioritise investment and resources around products and channels with the highest potential.Commercial OversightOversee commercial performance including margins, pricing, and product mix.Work with the existing commercial team to support key account development.Team & CultureLead, structure, and empower the leadership team.Ensure the right people are in the right roles, with clear expectations and support.Whats on Offer? Salary: 120kCar Allowance: 7,000Bonus: up to 20%Holiday Days: 25 + Bank Holidays (8)Do you have the following to apply? Proven experience as a Managing Director, COO, or equivalent senior leadership role in food/FMCG/manufacturing.Deep understanding of production and operations not afraid to be on-site, on the line, or in the detail.Track record of driving efficiency, profitability, and operational turnaround.Experience working in SME or scaling businesses with resource constraints.Commercially and financially astute able to read a P&L and act decisively.Natural leadership qualities decisive, action-oriented, calm under pressure.Strong values and emotional intelligence able to motivate, challenge, and build trust.Due to the high volume of applications received we are unable to respond to everyone directly.
