Job DescriptionPlatform Housing Group is one of the largest housing associations in the Midlands. We are seeking an insightful and collaborative leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Director of Strategic Asset Management. This is a key appointment that offers the opportunity to influence long-term asset strategy and ensure our homes deliver value, sustainability, and positive outcomes for residents.About the RoleThis is a pivotal leadership role where you will shape how we understand, manage, and invest in our 50,000 homes. You will lead our asset data strategy, develop stock condition knowledge, and guide investment decisions through evidence-based modelling. You will work across the organisation to align investment planning with strategic priorities and ensure that our property portfolio evolves in ways that meet future needs.You will be joining a skilled and engaged team who are already making real progress on the improvement journey. Our understanding of our assets is improving rapidly, as is our ability to make more informed, long-term decisions. As the incoming Director, you will have the chance to build on this momentum, enabling the team to evolve into a high-performing, strategic asset function that is recognised for its insight, clarity, and delivery.Your remit will also include leading stock option appraisals, enhancing asset performance frameworks, and ensuring our systems and reporting are accurate, strategic, and used effectively. This is a role with real breadth and influence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Platforms asset data and stock condition strategies.Guide strategic asset performance modelling and analysis.Support investment alignment and financial planning.Lead geographic footprint and asset option appraisals.Provide clear, insight-driven reporting to senior stakeholders.Champion improvements in systems, tools, and team capability.Represent Platform with partners, regulators, and key stakeholders.About YouWe are seeking a thoughtful and credible leader with:Strong experience in strategic asset management within housing or a similar regulated sector.A data-informed mindset and the ability to lead analytical decision-making.Experience working across stakeholder groups, including Boards and resident forums.The ability to lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams.An inclusive and collaborative leadership style.A strong understanding of long-term investment planning, risk, and regulation.Qualifications and ExperienceA degree or professional qualification (e.g. RICS, CIOB) is desirable.Experience of asset strategy, stock performance, and service improvement is essential.Why Join Us?This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of homes and communities on a significant scale.
