If you're energetic, resilient, and ready to grow, we'd love to hear from you.The roleAs Registered Manager, you will lead a children's residential home, ensuring the welfare and safety of young people while maintaining compliance with regulations and achieving an Ofsted rating of good or outstanding. You will oversee all operational aspects of the home, manage and develop a staff team, and create a nurturing environment where children feel safe and valued.What we offerWe offer competitive salaries with loyalty and performance-related pay on top. Our management team will support every area of your professional growth.Your responsibilitiesLead all operational aspects of the home, ensuring full compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations (England) 2015 and maintaining an Ofsted rating of good or outstanding.Champion children's welfare and safeguarding at every level, creating a physical and emotional environment where young people thrive.Develop, audit, and maintain individualized Care Plans and Risk Assessments, involving each child in decisions that affect them.Build, supervise, and inspire a staff team through regular supervisions and annual appraisals.Plan and organise activities, events, and holidays tailored to individual children's needs.Manage the home's budget and financial records in line with policy, and oversee upkeep of the building and grounds.Keep the Operations Team informed on safeguarding and compliance matters and complete all mandatory training within your probationary period.Obtain and maintain Ofsted registration and a current DBS via the Update Service.What you'll bringLeadership and team management the ability to develop and support a team to do their best work.Safeguarding and child protection in-depth knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a genuine commitment to children's welfare.Regulatory knowledge a confident understanding of the Children's Homes Regulations (England) 2015 and Ofsted standards.Communication and interpersonal skills able to engage effectively with children, staff, families, and external agencies.Organisation and attention to detail thorough and precise in managing care plans, risk assessments, and day-to-day operations.Candidates should hold, or be prepared to work towards, a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management within two years of appointment.
