This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2025, with a strong potential to become permanent.You will deliver engaging and practical D&T lessons that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning, while preparing students with valuable skills for the future.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across secondary year groupsTeach a variety of D&T specialisms (e.g., product design, resistant materials, graphics, or textiles, depending on expertise)Promote creativity, innovation, and safe use of tools and equipmentDifferentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learnersMaintain a safe, inclusive, and well-resourced learning environmentAssess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedbackContribute to the wider school community through clubs, projects, or extracurricular activitiesRequirementsMust have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UKExperience teaching Design & Technology at secondary school levelStrong classroom and behavior management skillsKnowledge of health 'safety procedures in a workshop/classroom settingA creative, practical, and adaptable teaching styleEnhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)How to ApplyIf you meet the above requirements and are passionate about inspiring creativity and innovation in young people, we would love to hear from you.
