Precision Centre Lathe Turner

Total Staff Services are working with our client based in Liverpool, Engineering Company, Merseyside. We have an opportunity for a Precision Centre Lathe Turner, this role will involve working from precision drawings to roughout and finish turn shafts up to 4m in length from raw bar stock and forgings of variuos grades of steel, stainless steel, and alloy steels on a centre lathe.If you think you are the right match for the following opportunity, apply after reading the complete description.Essential:-NVQ level 3 or equivalentPrevious experience in using steadies and grinding precision pump shafts up to 4m in lenghtAbility to work from detailed engineering drawingsKnowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality SystemsPrevious experience with machining of exotic metals (super duplex, duplex, 718, x 750, Hastelloy, Monel etc)Experience machining exotic metals(e,g super duplex, duplex, 718 x 750, Hastelloy, Monel)Previous experience in a similar role (2 years min)Strong planning and organising skillsEffective communication with peers and managementAttention to detailPreferred:-Previous experience in finish xjdpvnf turning multi-stage pump shaftsOther skills within a subcontract machine shopProduction of valve and pump componentsServing the Nuclear, Defence, Oil, Gas, Fluid and power generation sectorsProficient in Office 365 and ERP Systems39 hours a week + overtimeSingle days - Mon-Thurs Friday 0730-1230Salary DOE
