The role involves preparing documentation, maintaining accurate records and supporting governance frameworks.As a Governance and Assurance Officer you will also help coordinate assurance reviews, prepare reports for leadership teams and committees, and ensure governance procedures are documented and maintained effectively.APPLY TODAYReady to make your next career move? Apply Now for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as the Governance and Assurance Officer include:Governance Administration: Provide administrative support to governance activities including board and committee processesMeeting Coordination: Arrange meetings, prepare agenda packs, organise supporting documentation and record accurate meeting minutesRecord Management: Maintain accurate governance records, policies and compliance documentationReporting Support: Prepare clear and concise reports for senior leadership teams and committeesCompliance Monitoring: Support the organisation in adhering to laws, regulations and regulatory governance standardsPolicy Administration: Assist with maintaining and implementing governance policies and proceduresAssurance Reviews: Coordinate internal assurance reviews of key business processes and document findingsStakeholder Engagement: Work collaboratively with managers, staff and stakeholders to support governance activitiesCorporate Reporting: Contribute to organisational reporting including annual reports, strategic plans and key performance indicatorsContinuous Improvement: Research best practice and support improvements in governance, compliance and organisational processesCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSPrevious experience in a governance, compliance, risk, audit, regulatory or business support roleStrong administrative, organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesExperience preparing reports, documentation and formal records using Microsoft WordExperience creating meeting documentation and agenda packs, including use of Adobe Acrobat or similar document toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate minutesExperience maintaining records, policies and compliance documentationAbility to explain complex information clearly and conciselyStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentationExperience working collaboratively with teams and stakeholders across an organisationA proactive approach to supporting governance, assurance and organisational improvementBENEFITS25 days annual leave plus Bank HolidaysContributory pensionHealth PlanThis role requires a DBS checkHOW TO APPLYTo be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
