Job Description Job Description: Conveyancing AssistantLocation: BirkenheadFirm: High Street Firm Salary: Junior - Senior Salary rangeA well-established and reputable law firm is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy Residential Conveyancing department at its office in Birkenhead.The successful candidate will support experienced conveyancers with the day-to-day management of residential property transactions, ensuring matters progress efficiently from instruction through to completion.This role offers the opportunity to develop within a supportive legal environment, with clear progression opportunities within residential conveyancing.Key Responsibilities:Opening and setting up new client files on the case management systemPreparing and issuing contract packs for sale transactionsOrdering searches, Land Registry documents and redemption statementsAssisting with and responding to pre-contract enquiriesReviewing search results, mortgage offers, Source of Funds and Stamp Duty documentationPreparing contract documentation for clients to sign on purchase transactionsPreparing completion statements and completion packsCoordinating exchange of contracts and completion for sale and purchase transactionsLiaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors, providing updates and assisting with queriesSupporting conveyancers with file management, title checks and progressing matters from instruction through to completionExperience:Knowledge of the Conveyancing processExcellent communication skills.Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively and efficiently.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Benefits:Competitive salary depending on experience (23,200 27,000 depending on level)Clear career progression from Junior Assistant to Senior AssistantOpportunity to develop experience across the full conveyancing processSupportive team-based working environment alongside experienced conveyancersHybrid working options available by arrangementStandard working hours of 9:00am 5:00pm, Monday to FridayFour weeks paid annual leave plus bank holidaysAdditional time off over the Christmas period when the office typically closes
