Job DescriptionA thriving, independently owned engineering firm with a longstanding reputation for delivering high-spec, custom-built industrial equipment is on the lookout for a Sales Support Engineer to strengthen their commercial team.The RoleThis is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a solid technical background and a passion for delivering exceptional client support. Acting as a key link between the sales, engineering, and client teams, you'll play a vital role in ensuring customers receive the guidance, quotations, and follow-up support they need - both before and after the sale.Working closely with a knowledgeable technical sales team, youll help represent a highly respected product line, while also supporting the wider sales operation with quotes, pricing, and communication.Key responsibilities:Engaging directly with clients to understand their requirements and offer tailored solutionsCreating and managing quotations for spare parts, machinery, and full system packagesTracking conversions from quotes to confirmed orders and keeping records up to date within the CRMSupporting clients with product advice and technical queries pre-saleCollaborating with engineers to ensure accurate technical information and presentationsContributing to the development and upkeep of price lists and internal sales resourcesThe CandidateIdeally, a degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) or relevant hands-on experience in a comparable environmentPrevious experience in an engineering setting, particularly within a sales support or customer-facing capacity (2 years+ preferred)A confident communicator, happy speaking with customers and building rapportA flexible team player with a proactive mindset and willingness to learnThe PackageOffering up to 42,000 per annum.
