Managing teams in the development, design and coordination of engineering project services for M&e installations, systems and facilitiesCarries out cost and profit diagnosis on projects including feasibility studies and preparation of fee bidsDevelops and specifies applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposesSurveys tests and reports on existing electrical/mechanical installationsEnsure engineering calculations and drawings meet required robust industry and legal standardsEnsures risk and performance monitoring analysis takes place through effective systems of internal control and delegationLeads on the coordination of engineering servicesRequirements to be a Design Manager on hyperscale data centre projects:BSc/BEng in appropriate engineering xjdpvnf discipline or have sufficient equivalent experienceMCIBSE/MIEE or HND/HNC + appropriate experience or equivalentChartered Eng statusSignificant experience of specification design for a range of building typesSound knowledge & working application of key health and safety issues and legislationGood understanding of BS standards/ UK regulations/codesExperience and understanding of invoicing and credit controlBackground in consulting or construction preferred
