Job Description OverviewMy client is currently seeking a Mechanical Workshop Technician to join a busy production and workshop environment. This role would suit an experienced, hands-on engineer with strong mechanical knowledge of engines and a background in workshop or production-based roles. The position involves building, repairing, and overhauling engines and products to defined quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and assemble engines and products in line with build instructions and quality standardsCarry out repairs and overhauls of customer products as requiredAccurately record working hours using time and attendance systemsMaintain tools, equipment, and work areas to a high standard of cleanliness and organisationFollow all health 'safety procedures and safe working practicesSupport continuous improvement in build standards, systems, and workshop efficiencyDrive company vehicles when required to collect or deliver parts and equipmentAssist with additional workshop and production tasks as neededThe CandidateHolds a recognised engineering qualificationExperience in a workshop or production environmentPractical working knowledge of enginesStrong understanding of health 'safety in a workshop settingGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a teamA counterbalance forklift licence would be desirableSalary28,000 38,000 per annum, depending on experience.
