Vacancy Summary Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Job Type: Permanent Job Ref: #1328 Location: East London Start Date: ASAP Salary: c55k-65k basic plus competitive package inc car allowance, pension etc. Company & Project: A privately owned main contractor operating in the Residential, Commercial, Mixed-Use and Regeneration sectors, are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a flagship Residential and Mixed-Use, Design & Build, New Build project in excess of c40m+. Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will work within a team to manage daily commercial management functions across the project, including but not limited to; measurement & valuations, applications for payment, reconciling accounts, dealing with sub-contract orders and enquiries, through to practical completion of the project and settling final accounts. Previous experience on projects 10m+ is essential. Desirable Experience: Minimum 5 years+ experience as a QS on Construction projects in excess of 10m. Good knowledge of JCT Design & Build Contracts. Experience working for a Main Contractor would be advantageous. Strong track interpersonal and communication. Previous Roles: Senior Quantity Surveyor OR Project QS OR Quantity Surveyor. Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable.
