Malc Firth Landscapes is a forward thinking, dynamic, grounds maintenance provider, operating throughout the Cambridgeshire, East Anglian, Midlands, West Yorkshire and the North Eastern regions of the country. We are looking to recruit an Assistant Depot Supervisor to support the Regional Depot Supervisor who oversees three of our sites. You must have previous grounds maintenance experience and ideally have team leader or supervisory experience. The role is a working role, you will be expected to work on sites and carry out grounds maintenance duties. The post is also dependant on a successful DBS application. You will also be expected to do a work place first aid course. The hours of work are 7.30am - 5pm from April - October and 7.30am - 4pm from November - March . This is a Monday - Friday position with no weekend work however we would expect you to work some bank holidays. The company operate an annualised hours system. there may be occasions in the season where the work dictates longer working hours. The role would entail overseeing the yard, the team and being the point of contact for the Hull depot, duties would include but not be limited to the following: Make sure the yard is kept tidy and in good order Make sure tools are oiled and maintained Report breakages to workshop Liaise with workshop manager to arrange repairs on equipment/tools Ensure staff are coming back to the yard at correct time and loading vans up at night for next day Manage waste with Supervisor Required Skills Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points Experience of towing trailers PA1 & PA6 spraying qualification Leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain a strong team Excellent organisational and time management skills Strong attention to detail to guarantee quality workmanship Benefits: On site parking Health and Welbeing support Access to live like loyalty scheme on passing probation period.
