Key Responsibilities : Work with internal teams (Process Development, NPD, Purchasing) and suppliers to create gold-standard specifications. Maintain and review existing product specifications within agreed timescales. Review supplier specifications (raw materials and packaging) to ensure accuracy and challenge content when necessary. Translate recipes and supplier data into customer specification formats. Interpret nutritional analysis and run calculations to check against criteria. Generate and check pack copy specifications, approving artworks to ensure legal compliance. This is a hybrid position, where we normally operate 2 days on site and 3 days working from home once full training has been completed. As a valued member of our team, you will bring the following skills and experience: - Proven experience writing and updating specifications for major UK retailers (essential). Knowledge of food labelling and relevant legislation. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines. Confident communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate. Competence in Microsoft Office, written English, and numeracy. Degree in a food-related subject (desirable).
