Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

Locations: Belfast or Cookstown, Northern Ireland Due to recent contract awards, we are expanding our team! Quantity Surveyor / Estimator We are currently seeking Quantity Surveyors / Estimators to support our expanding portfolio of work in Northern Ireland. The role can be based at either our Belfast or Cookstown office. Key Responsibilities: Analyse construction drawings and specifications to assess labour, materials, and specialist requirements Prepare enquiry documents; source, obtain, and negotiate material and subcontractor quotations through to final orders Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure budgets are maintained Complete monthly subcontractor valuations and final accounts Submit monthly valuations to PQS and document all additional works Liaise with clients to agree rates, variations, and provide cost analysis Measure works in accordance with the contract-specific schedule of rates Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts within agreed timelines Collaborate closely with Management and Accounts teams to ensure effective cost control and project profitability Produce accurate monthly reports for Management and Client Progress Meetings Attend and contribute to Site Progress Meetings Candidate Profile: Ideally holds an Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (Candidates with HND/HNC or strong relevant experience will also be considered) Minimum of 2 years experience in a Quantity Surveying / Estimating role within a Main Contractor environment Strong commercial acumen with excellent communication skills Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as within a team Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project What We Offer: Competitive salary package Company vehicle Comprehensive Health Care Package Pension scheme Opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects Skills: Analyse construction drawings specifications to identify labour material specialist requirements
