Building Safety ConsultantRemote Salary up to £80,000I’m working with a specialist consultancy that’s growing its team and looking for an experienced Building Safety Consultant. Their mission is to use this framework to embed safety into the heart of construction while also driving broader improvements — from better information management and digitalisation to raising the overall quality of the built environment.If you’re looking to join a team that combines deep technical knowledge with a forward-thinking, solutions-led approach, this could be a brilliant fit.What you’ll doAdvise clients on building safety legislation (Building Safety Act, Building Regulations, Fire Safety Act, CDM Regulations).Carry out compliance reviews on higher-risk buildings (HRBs) and other complex projects.Assess design and construction risks (fire safety, structural, etc.) and provide clear, practical advice.Review building plans, prepare reports, and guide clients on achieving compliance.Undertake site inspections where required, checking standards are met.Work closely with developers, designers, and contractors to support safe outcomes.What they’re looking forDegree in Building Surveying, Building Control, or a related discipline.Professional membership (CABE, RICS, or equivalent).At least 5 years’ experience in building control or safety compliance.Class 2D – Class 3H Registered Building Inspector, or working towards registration (support available).Strong knowledge of building safety legislation, regulations, and compliance frameworks.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Organised, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote setupWhy this role?Fully remote - flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK.Opportunity to shape how the industry adapts to the biggest regulatory shift in decades.Join a team of highly experienced professionals making a real difference.Competitive package with career growth opportunities.
