Our home offers a warm, supportive environment where residents are encouraged to live life to the fullest through personalised care, meaningful activity and compassionate support.We are now looking for a dedicated Recreational Therapy Assistant to join our team and help create purposeful, engaging and fulfilling experiences for our residents.What We Offer12.60 per hourContracted to 37.5 hours per week - Includes weekend!Full training and ongoing developmentPension scheme, Free uniform, Paid PVG5.6weeks annual leave based on a full time contractYour RoleAs a Recreational Therapy Assistant, you will support residents to take part in social, therapeutic and recreational activities that reflect their interests, preferences and goals. Working as part of the wider multidisciplinary team, you will help plan and deliver sessions that support cognitive, emotional, physical and social wellbeing.You will encourage independent choice, promote residents rights, support self care where possible and ensure activities are meaningful for each individual. You will monitor residents wellbeing, communicate any changes to senior colleagues and maintain a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for residents, families and visitors.What We Are Looking ForUnderstanding of health or social care workExperience supporting people in a care setting or similar roleAbility to create and deliver engaging, person centred activitiesStrong communication skills and confidence interacting with a wide range of peopleAbility to review and adapt sessions based on residents needsA team focused approachLevel 2 in Care or related training is desirable but not essentialAbout UsDee View Court Care Home is part of the Care Concern Group, a family owned, market leading care provider with over one hundred homes across the United Kingdom.
