The organization specializes in identifying and developing offshore wind sites, particularly floating projects in deeper waters.Role ProfileThe Senior Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Advisor will support a major offshore wind initiative by developing environmental and social (E&S) standards and policies, coordinating actions to meet lender requirements, and serving as the primary liaison with the Independent Environmental and Social Consultant (IESC).This role includes managing ESG reporting, integrating E&S requirements into project workflows, and reviewing technical documentation. The advisor will work closely with joint venture partners and internal corporate functions to ensure alignment across HSEQ, ESG, consents, supply chain, HR, and engineeringKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop project-specific E&S standardsConduct gap analyses to identify risks and develop mitigation plansCoordinate implementation of ESG standards and lender requirementsSupport the deployment of the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS)Assist with corporate audits of the ESMSCollaborate with supply chain teams to ensure ESG complianceManage assessments in line with lender expectationsServe as the main point of contact for the IESC and facilitate team inputsLiaise with legal and lender advisors regarding ESG requirementsContribute to project risk management and mitigation strategiesOversee ESG and greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting to meet corporate standardsPromote high-quality standards in line with HSEQ systemsWork collaboratively across departments including HSEQ, Consents, Engineering, Stakeholder Engagement, Finance, and Supply ChainSupport continuous improvement of the business management system (BMS)Person SpecificationStrong team integration and self-motivation, especially for remote workExtensive experience with lender E&S requirements, particularly in UK offshore wind, infrastructure, or energy projectsFamiliarity with relevant UK legislation, international law, and key standards such as:Equator Principles IVIFC Performance StandardsWorld Bank Group EHS GuidelinesESG reporting and GHG data collectionGood international industry practicesUnderstanding of the Scottish consenting processExcellent communication and time-management skillsAbility to manage and disseminate information effectivelyChartered membership or equivalent in a relevant professional bodyPrior experience in offshore wind or renewable energy project development and constructionWillingness to travel internationally for short-term assignments
