Department: Marketing & CommunicationsReports to: Head of MarketingLocation: Remote Employment type: Contract Job PurposeWorking as an integral part of the Communications & Marketing team, your role as Communications Officer will be to support the team in coordinating communications schedules across digital platforms alongside the production and delivery of content assets – ensuring that it is on brand, consistent and planned in alignment with Women in Data campaigns.You will need to be able to create strong, visually exciting content that fits within our brand guidelines, which may include but not be limited to graphics, videos and reels and photo editing encouraging engagement that builds brand awareness, drives traffic and fosters both engagement with brand partners and our community.Key Responsibilities Messaging, content creation and management Develop and create high quality brand aligned content for LinkedIn and Instagram and YouTube, not being shy of the latest trends, technologies and channels.Showcase various high-profile partner brands through the social media channels, using creative ways of promoting events, job roles and other key initiatives.Write enticing written content and schedule posts - tailoring content for each platform.Collaborate with the wider team to ensure consistency of tone, brand identity and messaging.Use the channels to conduct basic research around data and tech where appropriate to ensure content is accurate and relatable and using the correct terminology.Encouraging interaction with our community, through social-media campaigns, giveaways and new ideas.Track and manage the impact of a campaign, proposing ideas for improvement.Community engagement Ensure comments, inboxes and other notifications are responded to in a timely and professional manner.Maximise the use of LinkedIn groups, influencers and brand advocates to strengthen the impact of campaigns.Campaign support & asset developmentAssist in planning and execution of paid social campaigns.Create marketing collateral to support the team including information packs, powerpoint decks, email banners and more, where appropriate.Event support Uphold the reputation of Women in Data® at events including conferences, meet-ups and our main Flagship event.Key performance indicators Growth in followers and engagement ratesIncrease in website traffic and conversions from social /third party platformsOverall campaign ROIPreferred/ desirable skillsEssentialCommunication and collaborationContent creationPassion for equality, diversity and inclusionStrong copywriting skillsCreative thinkingTime management and prioritisationCan work under your own initiativeAdaptable to dynamic environmentsAnalytical skillsAttention to detailAdobe Creative Suite preferred, or equivalentPaid social experienceSocial media management experienceDesirableAutomation flows in CRMUnderstanding of SEOGoogle analyticsUnderstanding of data and techWorking to defined brand guidelinesVideo skillsPhotography skillsMicrosoft TeamsCommercial partnerships awarenessQualificationsThis role would be suited towards a graduate in graphic design, communications or marketing.
