HGV Class 1 Driver Position OverviewA dynamic haulage company is seeking reliable, trustworthy HGV Drivers who demonstrate a professional attitude.This is a 24/7 operation, with trunking from RDC to RDC without handball.You will work on average 3 swaps per shift, using box trailers both single and double deckers.Your start and end point will be our Bedford Depot, where you will drop/swap trailers within the network.Key responsibilities include:Operating HGVs in a safe and efficient mannerManaging daily routes and schedulesMaintaining accurate records of shipments and deliveriesWe offer a range of benefits, including:Daily rate of pay ranging from £41,000 plus overtime guaranteedOn average 8-12 hour shifts with 9 hour shifts on averageNo manual handling - drop 'swap trailersHoliday pay and SSPParental leave (maternity/paternity)Workplace pensionWeekly payrollState-of-the-art equipment and technologyVarious start timesSome Weekends involvedFlexible working scheduleFull time and Part time Positions availableYou are offered 5 out of 7 shifts plus overtimeTo succeed in this role, you will need:6 months minimum provable commercial experience requiredA valid C+E Entitlement on your Driving LicenceA valid UK CPC cardA valid UK Digital Tachograph CardA maximum of 6 penalties ( No DD, DR or IN endorsements)Right to work documentationEnglish language skills for safetyWillingness to undergo a Background Check and Drug and Alcohol testAs a driver, you will be expected to adhere to all relevant regulations and industry standards, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
