Job Description CNC Turner Setter / OperatorLocation: Bedford Job Type: PermanentWe are currently recruiting for a skilled CNC Turner (Setter / Operator) to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role within a busy, precision engineering environment.Working within a dedicated machine cell, you will be responsible for the setting and operation of CNC lathes, producing high-quality components to tight tolerances.Key ResponsibilitiesSet and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision componentsSelect and install appropriate tooling, offsets, and fixturesRead and interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsConduct in-process and final inspection using measuring equipment (e.g. micrometers, verniers, gauges)Identify and resolve machining issues to maintain production efficiencyWork collaboratively with the production team to meet output targets and deadlinesMaintain a clean, safe, and organised working environmentRequirementsProven experience as a CNC Turner / CNC Lathe Setter OperatorStrong background in setting and operating CNC turning machinesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience using inspection and measurement toolsSolid understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materialsGood problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitudeAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentBenefitsCompany pension schemeFree on-site parkingStable, long-term opportunity with a reputable engineering businessPlease note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
