Mechanical Design Engineer

First Achieve Engineering is working with a long-established engineering firm renowned for innovation, quality, and technical excellence across various industrial sectors including Power, Oil & Gas, and Water.About the RoleWe're seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic and supportive team, where you'll play a key role in the development and delivery of robust engineering solutions to real-world industrial challenges.ResponsibilitiesProduce high-quality technical drawings, CAD models, and engineering documentation.Perform engineering calculations and generate detailed reports.Support senior engineers with technical delivery of enquiries and projects.Improve product performance through new design methods and materials.Create and maintain accurate bills of materials within the ERP system.Provide technical support across departments and to end clients.Apply principles of Design for Manufacture and Value Engineering.Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and safety standards.QualificationsA degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Required SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks).Experience with engineering standards including BS 8888 and GD&T.Working knowledge of pressure vessel design (ASME VIII, PED, etc.) is advantageous.Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally Epicor.A detail-oriented, proactive mindset and strong organisational skills.Full right to work in the UK.Pay range and compensation packageCompetitive salary25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (option to purchase additional leave)Company pension scheme (3.5% employee / 5.5% employer) + life assuranceHealth cash plan covering dental, optical, and moreHybrid and flexible working optionsOngoing training and development opportunitiesRetail & lifestyle discounts, cycle-to-work scheme, and moreEqual Opportunity StatementThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking, globally connected business that offers long-term career progression, a collaborative work environment, and a strong commitment to employee wellbeing.To apply, please submit your CV via First Achieve Engineering today.
