Role: Workshop TechnicianWhile professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.Salary: Up to 40,000 depending on experienceLocation: AxbridgeWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Workshop Engineer to join our busy service team. This role involves the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and associated rotating equipment.You will take ownership of workshop-based repairs, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while meeting customer deadlines.Responsibilities:Carry out repair and overhaul of electric motors, pumps, and gearboxesDiagnose faults and perform breakdown repairs on rotating equipmentPerform mechanical maintenance, assembly, and refurbishment tasksEnsure all work is completed within agreed deadlines to meet customer expectationsComplete all relevant workshop documentation accuratelySubmit daily timesheets as requiredMaintain a clean, safe, and organised working environmentAdhere strictly to Health & Safety procedures and PPE requirementsSupport team members and contribute to overall workshop productivityBe available for overtime and call-out work when requiredUndertake additional duties within your capabilities as directed by the Workshop Supervisor or ManagerSkills & ExperienceProven experience repairing and overhauling electric motors, pumps, and gearboxesStrong mechanical fault-finding abilityBasic computer literacyGood understanding of workplace safety protocols and PPE requirementsStrong communication skillsReliable with excellent timekeepingFlexible approach to working hours when requiredTeam-oriented with a proactive work ethicWR Engineering are the #1 recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.
