Forklift / Reach Truck Service EngineerCarbon60 is recruiting for a Site Supervisor (No Staff Responsibility) to support on-site maintenance operations at a large industrial customer site in Highbridge.ROLE: Forklift / Reach Truck Service EngineerCONTRACT TYPE: PermanentDo you have the following skills, experience and drive to succeed in this role Find out below.LOCATION: Yeo Valley, HighbridgeWORKING PATTERN: Full-time, Monday to FridayHOURS: 08:00am - 16:30pm8-hour daysTHE ROLE:The Site Supervisor will act as the sole resident engineer and first point of contact for the customer on-site, ensuring that fleet performance standards and service levels are consistently achieved.This is a hands-on role combining maintenance, customer service, reporting, and site responsibility, requiring strong electrical knowledge, autonomy, and excellent communication skills.The site consists of:9 Reach Trucks20-30 Powered Pallet Trucks (PPTsA small number of Under Pallet Carriers (UPCs)Some automation on siteThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take ownership of a resident site.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Act as first point of contact for the customer on sitePerform preventative maintenance on materials handling and ancillary equipmentDiagnose, repair, and service equipment efficientlyComplete accurate service reports and time sheetsManage and control on-site parts stockMaintain strong customer relationships and meet contractual service levelsLiaise with after-sales office regarding repair times and updatesIdentify chargeable work and follow up opportunitiesEnsure compliance with all company and customer health 'safety proceduresSupport continuous improvement initiatives on siteParticipate in customer review meetings where requiredSKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Strong electrical bias (all-electric fleet)Background in MHE (Materials Handling Equipment) preferredConsideration given to candidates from automotive, HGV, mobile plant, forklift, or ex-forces vehicle engineering backgroundsComfortable working independently as the sole engineer on siteExperience in customer-facing environmentsGood administrative and paperwork skillsAbility xjdpvnf to manage workload effectively and prioritise tasksExperience mentoring apprentices or junior engineers beneficialClean driving licence preferredADDITIONAL INFORMATION:First stage interview via TeamsSecond stage interview on-site including site tourOpportunity to take ownership of a mid-size automated siteExcellent opportunity for an experienced engineer ready for a more autonomous, responsible roleIf you are an experienced electrically biased engineer looking for a stable Monday-Friday role with site ownership and customer interaction, we would like to hear from you.Guidant, Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
