Job Description Multi-Skilled Fire & Security Engineer (Fire-Biased or Security-Biased Considered)This role is for ABCA Systems Ltd, which is part of the ABCA GroupHours: 40 per weekSalary: 35kHoliday: 23 days+BH with ability to increase to 25Benefits: Paid Travel after 30 mins, Health & Wellbeing Scheme, Free Will Writing & Financial Review Service, Electrical Vehicle Scheme + optional Sickness Insurance.We are currently looking for experienced engineers to join our team. Ideally, candidates will be multi-skilled across both fire and security disciplines. However, we actively encourage applications from individuals who areFire-biasedorSecurity-biased we are open to a mix of both and would be more than happy to provide training on the other area should the candidate be interested in widening their knowlegde of the industry.If you're technically proficient, committed to high standards of service, and able to work flexibly and independently, we want to hear from you.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe role includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks. Duties are split across both Fire and Security disciplines for clarity:Fire Systems ResponsibilitiesCarrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on:Fire Alarm Systems (Quarterly, Six-Monthly, Annual)Emergency Lighting (Monthly, Six-Monthly, Annual)Fault finding, repairing, and testing fire alarm systems and emergency lightingServicing and maintaining fire panels (Morley, Kentec, Advanced, Hyfire, Cooper)Logging jobs and completing paperwork through the CASH systemUnderstanding and complying with BS5839Smoke control / AOV systems and Fire Extinguisher servicingSecurity Systems ResponsibilitiesPerforming PPM and reactive maintenance on:Access Control Systems (e.g., Paxton, PAC)Door Entry Systems (e.g., Videx)Troubleshooting and repairing electronic security systemsLogging and tracking job progress via CASH systemWorking to industry best practices and client specificationsGeneral ResponsibilitiesAttend emergency call-outs as part of an on-call rotaFlexibility to work overtime when requiredUse and maintain appropriate PPE and tools at all timesMaintain health and safety standards and comply with company policyComplete and submit timesheets accurately and on timeConduct system surveys and installations where necessaryEngage with clients professionally and clearly communicate technical solutionsMaintain a high standard of technical knowledge and attend training where appropriateEssential Qualifications & ExperienceProven experience in the Fire & Security industryStrong fault-finding and maintenance knowledge of:Fire Alarm Systems (Morley, Kentec, Advanced, Hyfire, Cooper)Access Control & Door Entry (Paxton, PAC, Videx)Working knowledge of BS5839Experience in PPM and reactive maintenanceUnderstanding of Emergency Lighting systemsFull UK Driving LicenceJBRP1_UKTJ
