Job Title -Field HydrometristLocation -Basingstoke/Warminster/Chippenham/ReadingJob type -PermanentHours -37.5 hours with overtime availableSalary -24,570 paHydro International Data Insights & Analysis ltd, (formally Hydro-logic Services) a CRH Company, is a leading UK provider of advanced data services and expertise to help municipal, industrial and construction customers to improve their water management processes, increase operational performance, and reduce environmental impact.Hydro International -Data Insights and Analysis has been operating in the UK for around 40 years and undertakes data analysis and collection for a variety of customers nationwide. We compile, quality assure and issue data reports to clients relating to water levels, water quality and discharge. We operate and maintain the Hydro-Logic Flexi Logger 105 equipment installed at around 1,400 sites across the country. We offer services to major clients as well as smaller local authorities and parish councils when needed. Our flood water monitoring systems provide invaluable data to communities affected by heavy rainfall.+We have an exciting opportunity to join our Hydrometry and monitoring teamThe role involves visiting various sites, primarily undertaking field measurements of water quantity (flow), depth, quality, rainfall etc. Additionally, responsibilities include the installing, operating, and maintaining of telemetry logging equipment.EssentialA passion for working outdoors in all weathers conditionsComfortable working in water, strong swimming skillsConfidence in working at heights, such as using ladders, and ease in working within confined spaces.Good level of computer literacy (MS Office applications Word, Excel)Possession of a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant environmental field (e.g., Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, etc.)Demonstrates awareness of potential risks and safety protocolsExperienced in hands-on tasks, including use of power and hand toolsWilling to travel as requiredPossess a valid UK driver's license for 12 months +ExperienceFull training is provided, therefore prior experience is not required providedyou possess the essential skills listed aboveExperience with Hydrometric field data collection is beneficial but not essentialAptitude and attributesSelf-starterDependableFlexible/ adaptable approachProactiveStrong communicatorWillingness to travel and stay away from home, as neededAbility to work to deadlinesPassion for the water and environment sectorTeam player with the ability to work independentlyCareer Advancement:This role offers potential for career advancement within our organisation.Training desirable but not essential :Working at heightConfined space entryFirst aid at workWater safetyWater hygieneHydrometric techniquesSSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme)CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)Benefits:OvertimePension2 x Life AssuranceSick PayLunch allowanceEmployee Referral SchemeMental Health First Aiders25 days holiday + Bank HolidaysCompany vehicleJBRP1_UKTJ
