Job Description Metal Fabrication Technician | Basingstoke | From 38,000Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Metal Fabrication Technician to join their Manufacturing Department, working alongside an established team of welders and fabrication specialists.You will play a key role in producing high-quality precision metal components used in the assembly of specialist machinery supplied worldwide to the food, pharmaceutical, and additive manufacturing industries.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Metal Fabrication Technician, you will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components, including:+Setting up and operating fabrication equipment such as press brakes, plasma cutters, and sheet rollers.+Interpreting and working from technical drawings and CAD files to produce accurate sheet metal components.+Performing welding and fabrication tasks across a range of metals in line with high industry standards.+Carrying out MIG, TIG, and (where required) laser welding processes.Essential Skills & Experience+Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication and welding environments.+Strong understanding of sheet metal properties, fabrication methods, and machining operations.+Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings.+Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations.Take pride in building precision-engineered components that power specialist machinery used around the world.
