As a 3rd Line Core Engineer, you will deliver high-quality core OS and infrastructure support for high-profile user communities, contributing to services that support important clients and stakeholders. In this role you will work alongside 2nd and 3rd Line engineers to manage and maintain core systems, monitor event-management tooling, triage incidents, and provide escalation support when needed. You'll join a culture where collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement are key. You will be empowered to share ideas, learn new technologies, and help build a reliable, secure, and future-ready infrastructure for end users. You'll have the opportunity to: Provide 3rd Line OS and core infrastructure support for customer systems, managing issues from detection through to resolution. Monitor and manage Event Management tooling (e.g., SolarWinds, SCOM), perform incident triage and escalation, and ensure service reliability for end-users and stakeholders. Work with core infrastructure tools and technologies including vCenter, MECM / SCCM, Active Directory, Windows Server, SQL, and ITSM tooling. Collaborate closely with customers, stakeholders, and technical leads to understand needs, communicate status, and support customer-facing interactions. Participate in a team committed to continuous improvement and service excellence, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues to deliver top-tier support. Key Requirements / Experience: Experience or strong background in IT support/engineering, with exposure to OS / core infrastructure support. Familiarity with or ability to work with technologies such as vCenter (virtualisation), MECM / SCCM, Active Directory, Windows Server, SQL, and ITSM tooling. Experience using or supporting Event Management tools such as SolarWinds or SCOM (or willingness to learn). Strong problem-solving skills, ability to triage and escalate issues, and to work under pressure when required. Good communication skills for regular contact with customers and stakeholders, and ability to work collaboratively in a team. Flexibility to travel to customer sites when required, and willingness to work support hours (Monday-Friday, 07:00-19:00, 37hrs/week, early or late shifts as directed).
