Preconstruction Manager

Sector: Construction / Engineering About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Preconstruction Director to lead the early stages of major construction projects across London, while being based in our Basingstoke office. This is a long-term temporary opportunity for a strategic leader with a proven track record in preconstruction management and multidisciplinary team leadership. Key Responsibilities Lead the preconstruction phase of multiple projects up to 20m in value. Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including design, planning, commercial, and operational functions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners. Ensure commercial and contractual compliance throughout the preconstruction process. Oversee project planning, risk management, and value engineering initiatives. Report to senior stakeholders on progress, risks, and opportunities. Key Skills & Qualifications Full UK Driving Licence. Valid CSCS Card. HNC/HND/Degree in a construction or engineering discipline. Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIOB, APM, CIAT, RICS). Demonstrable experience in preconstruction leadership on projects up to 20m. Strong track record of successful multi-project delivery through effective team management. Commercial and contractual awareness. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain key relationships.
