We are recruiting for: Locum Consultant Cardiothoracic Anaesthetists, ideally with an interest in cardiology procedures.Fixed‑term contracts, ideal for those seeking flexibility and the chance to work in a vibrant, supportive environment. Your role will involve:Providing perioperative TOE services.Providing evidence‑based care.Working clinically in cardiothoracic critical care.Working collaboratively with a variety of colleagues as part of a multidisciplinary team.Covering on‑call across our cardiothoracic theatres, cardiac critical care and cardiology intervention services – so ideally you should live within 10 miles of Basildon Hospital, or 30 minutes travelling time.Developing your interests and specialisation within cardiothoracic anaesthesia, & Critical Care including active participation in research programmes.Our ambition is to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and well‑being of our patients, and provide a vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.
