Warehouse Supervisor

Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor Location: Basildon Salary: 30,000-33,000 Working Hours: 2pm-10pm Reports To: Warehouse Manager / Operations Manager Job Purpose: To oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. The Warehouse Supervisor will lead a team, maintain safety standards, and ensure inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff. Ensure accurate and timely picking, packing, and dispatch of goods. Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Implement and enforce health and safety procedures. Train, motivate, and evaluate team performance. Liaise with transport and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations. Handle customer queries and resolve issues related to warehouse operations. Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and workflow. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency. Essential: Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics. Strong leadership and team management skills. Good understanding of health and safety regulations. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office. Forklift license or other relevant certifications. Desirable: Experience with lean or continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge of inventory control systems.
