Company OverviewAt Hydrogen Safe, we are a Manchester-based specialist training provider committed to equipping individuals with the skills and education needed for the growing clean energy economy. We create and deliver bespoke training solutions for both national and international clients, alongside Ofqual-regulated Level 1–3 qualifications in hydrogen safety. Additionally, we offer specialised, industry-led CPD courses covering key clean energy topics such as Carbon Capture and Storage, Hydrogen Gas Detection, and Fuel Cells. Through partnerships with colleges and employers, we deliver employer-focused training tailored to the evolving demands of the clean energy sector. Our mission is to upskill the workforce, drive the green energy transition, and empower local communities toward a sustainable hydrogen future. Position SummaryWe are seeking a Training and Content Specialist to join our growing team to develop and deliver training and content for clients in the hydrogen economy. This is a hybrid role requiring regular in-person instruction and collaboration from our Manchester office (minimum two days per week). The ideal candidate will have a passion for net zero, a strong technical background in science or engineering, and experience delivering both in-person and digital learning experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver engaging face-to-face and remote training sessions for industry professionals, apprentices, and studentsDevelop and design e-learning modules using platforms such as Articulate 360Create and maintain high-quality lesson plans and training content tailored to various learner profilesConduct continuous research on hydrogen technologies, safety protocols, and clean energy trendsEngage in client-facing meetings, present training outcomes, and maintain strong professional relationshipsRepresent Hydrogen Safe at industry events, workshops, and conferencesInspire a collaborative learning culture within the organisationRequired Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Education, or related fieldExperience delivering theoretical and/or practical instruction in science, health 'safety, or engineeringStrong public speaking and communication skillsHigh proficiency in IT tools, including content development software (e.g. Articulate 360)Proven ability to design and deliver effective, engaging training materialsEnthusiastic about the clean energy transition and committed to sustainability goalsValid UK driver’s licence and willingness to travelDesirable Skills & ExperienceQualified Teacher Status (QTS) and/or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)Knowledge of relevant safety and compliance standards (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH)Experience of working on hydrogen systems, fuel cells, or clean energy technologiesExperience of managing and maintaining a Learner Management System for e-modules e.g. creating SCORM contentStrong background in industrial training, particularly within energy or chemical sectorsWhat We OfferBe part of a growing business driving the clean energy and renewable sectorA purpose-driven role with real-world impact on the green economyA collaborative, forward-thinking team environmentAccess to professional development and opportunities to progress for a long-term careerWork as part of a happy and motivated team everyday Centrally located office in Manchester’s Renold Building Innovation Hub, next to Piccadilly StationFlexible hybrid working arrangementsEmployer contribution pension scheme 25 days annual leave excluding bank holidays
