They deliver Level 3 apprenticeships and commercial training that feeds real talent directly into industry.Theyre now looking for an experienced Fabrication & Welding professional to step into a Department Team Leader role combining technical delivery, leadership, and real influence over how the next generation of engineers is trained.Why This Role Stands Out? Secure, long-term career pathThis is ideal for someone whos been:Leading people on the shop floorMentoring apprentices or junior weldersThinking I want more responsibility but not sales or management fluffThe Role (What Youll Actually Be Doing)Youll lead the Fabrication & Welding department, managing instructors while remaining involved in delivery across:FabricationWeldingPipefitting / Pipe WeldingCommercial & apprenticeship programmesKey focus areas:Planning and coordinating training across multiple sitesEnsuring high-quality, consistent deliverySupporting instructors with lesson planning and standardsCarrying out observations and quality checksKeeping workshops safe, compliant and industry-readyWorking with employers to keep training relevantMaking sure learners leave work-ready, not just qualifiedYoull also act as the lead TWI Welding Inspector for commercial training activity.What Theyre Looking ForEssentialStrong background in fabrication & weldingExperience in welding, pipefitting, plating or sheet metal (expertise in one is fine)Level 3 qualification or time-served apprenticeshipTeaching qualification ideal (PGCE / DTLLS / Cert Ed)Confident leading peopleComfortable with planning, organisation and ITNice to Have (Fully Funded if You Dont Have Them)Assessor / Verifier qualificationsTWI Welding Inspector certificationIf you need additional qualifications, our client pays for them.Location & TravelMulti-site role: Hull, Grimsby & ScunthorpeFull UK driving licence requiredMileage and bridge tolls fully coveredSafeguarding & ValuesThis organisation is committed to safeguarding learners and creating a safe, inclusive, respectful workplace.
