Location: Barry, Cardiff Employment Type: Temporary Ongoing Rate: 28.18 per hour (Umbrella) Start Date: Immediate Contact: Molly Mulligan About the Role On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, JMC Aviation is seeking an experienced Aircraft Painter to join their dynamic maintenance team in Barry. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled painters from aviation, automotive, rail, or mechanical engineering backgrounds to apply their expertise in a precision-driven, safety-focused environment. Youll be responsible for preparing and painting aircraft surfaces and components to the highest industry standards, ensuring quality, compliance, and on-time delivery. Key Responsibilities Prepare and paint aircraft surfaces and components in accordance with engineering specifications Maintain a safe and compliant working environment at all times Complete and sign off work within scope of individual approvals Support effective team communication and collaboration across shifts Operate lifting and access equipment within permitted limits Contribute to process improvements and continuous development initiatives Candidate Requirements Essential: Time-served Paint Finishing Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification Proven experience in aircraft, automotive, rail, or mechanical painting and surface preparation Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings, data cards, and manuals Understanding of COSHH regulations relevant to paints and chemicals Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability Right to live and work in the UK Desirable: Experience working with aviation documentation and systems Leadership or mentoring experience within a maintenance team PC literacy and familiarity with document management systems Key Behaviours & Attitudes Safety and quality focused Positive, can-do approach with flexibility to adapt Professional, team-oriented communication style Takes pride in workmanship and attention to detail Why Work with JMC Aviation?
