Together, we are powering the Royal Navys adoption of autonomous surface vehicle technology as well as delivering autonomous capability to UK ports, harbours and offshore energy service providers.A few of our employee benefits are:Half day finish on a Friday25 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays), increasing with long service and with the opportunity to buy/sell up to 5 daysPrivate medical insurance with optional family coverPension scheme of up to 7% employer contributionLife Assurance 4x salary (flexible up to 10x)Group income protectionFlexible opt-in extras such as a health care cash plan, dental insurance, gym membership, critical illness cover and cycle to work schemeEmployee assistance program providing mental health and wellbeing supportProfessional membership reimbursement (discretionary)What the role will involveThe responsibilities of your role will include the following:Responsible for ensuring the site Security requirements are adhered to for the Barrow site by ensuring compliance with GovS007 and applicable customer and Corporate Security requirements.Site Access and Visitor ControlControl of classified assets in accordance with customer contractual requirementsEnsure compliance and promote best practice and continuous improvements to all aspects of site and personnel securityWork collaboratively with the UK Security team on improvement initiatives and security projectsConduct internal ISO27001 assessments and support external assessmentsSecurity Awareness Ensure a high level of security awareness and compliance on the Burgess Hill site in-line with Security Awareness Training Plans, including conducting new starter inductions and bespoke training sessions where applicableSecurity Advice and Support Provide advice and guidance to staff on all physical, personnel and procedural security mattersSecurity Incident Management Management of Burgess Hill-based security incidents including containment, internal reporting, actions and lessons learned.Deputizing for Security team staff on other sites as requiredFacilities, Health, Safety and Environmental Representative responsibilitiesThe HSE Representative supports the MAPPS (UK) Facilities Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager and acts as the main contact for employees on safety, health, and welfare concerns.Key duties include:Investigating and resolving employee safety complaints.Communicating hazards or concerns to the company via the safety reporting process.Conducting workplace inspections, ensuring safety equipment is maintained, and ensuring risk assessments are current and updated with any workplace changes.Assisting with audits, reporting and investigation of any incidents, and maintaining HSE documentation.Ensuring site inductions and DSE forms are completed.Supporting compliance with HSE standards and environmental objectives.Promoting training and awareness for site health, safety, and environmental matters.Oversees the day-to-day facilities operations of the buildings, co-ordinating all maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of the facility.What youll bringThe role requires the following experience and skills:Significant working knowledge and understanding of HMG policyHealth and Safety regulatory compliance experienceAbility to prioritise, problem solve and manage a varied workloadAbility and willingness to travel within the UKSelf-motivated, positive and proactive approach essentialDISA Security Controller and/or Document Control TrainingISO27001 internal auditor / implementer training or experienceIOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General CertificateImportant to knowApplicants who accept a conditional offer of employment must meet the requirement of right to work in the UK and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and will be subject to government security checks.JBRP1_UKTJ
