This is an excellent opportunity for skilled chefs who are passionate about producing healthy, nutritious meals for children in a welcoming school environment.As a School Chef, you will play a key role in delivering highquality food, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the smooth running of daily service.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals for pupils and staffPlanning daily menus in line with school guidelines and dietary needsManaging food preparation, portion control and presentationEnsuring all food safety and hygiene standards (including allergens) are metMaintaining a clean and wellorganised kitchenMonitoring stock levels, ordering ingredients and managing food wasteLeading and supporting the catering team during serviceUpholding safeguarding standards as part of a school setting RequirementsEnhanced Child Workforce DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)Previous experience as a Chef, Cook or similar catering roleStrong knowledge of food hygiene, allergens and safety regulationsAbility to lead and motivate a small teamGood organisational and communication skillsReliable, flexible, and committed to supporting children's wellbeingMust be available Monday to Friday during xjdpvnf school hoursWhat We Offer15.00 per hourDaytime, termtime hours - ideal for worklife balanceSupportive school environmentsOngoing placements and regular hoursOpportunities to progress within school cateringLocationsWe are recruiting Chefs across:Cumbria , Barrow in Furness and surrounding areas.Please apply online if interestedBlue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people
