Job Description Senior Electronics EngineerDevon (Hybrid) | Up to 62,000 DOE | Permanent | Half-day FridaysThe OpportunityAre you a Senior Electronics Engineer looking for a role where your work genuinely matters? We are working exclusively with a well-established UK defence and maritime technology business - around 500 people - who develop advanced naval protection and undersea surveillance systems deployed by navies across the globe.Based in Devon with hybrid and flexible working, this is a rare opportunity to take technical ownership of complex electro-mechanical systems in a specialist, mission-driven environment - without the pace and pressure of a large prime contractor.The South West is one of the best places in the UK to live and work. With easy access to Dartmoor, the Jurassic Coast, and a lower cost of living than London or Bristol, this role is particularly well suited to engineers considering relocation. Exeter is well connected by rail and road and has a growing engineering community.The RoleYou will take ownership of electrical and electronic engineering delivery across a range of electro-mechanical systems, working within a small, specialist multi-disciplinary team. You will be expected to operate at a senior level throughout the full product lifecycle - from requirements capture through to acceptance and beyond.Day to day you will be:Leading electrical and electronic design and development of electro-mechanical systemsDelivering full lifecycle engineering from requirements decomposition through to acceptance and user sign-offProviding technical support and leadership within a multi-disciplinary engineering teamMentoring and supporting the development of junior engineersSupporting and facilitating design reviews and approvals to business and industry standardsContributing to manufacturing drawings, schematics, CAD models and technical reportsSupporting products through manufacturing, assembly, installation and service lifeContributing to bids and proposals, including customer and supplier interfacingWhat Were Looking ForStrong analogue and digital design skillsFull lifecycle experience from requirements decomposition through to acceptance on multi-disciplinary programmesExperience in the design and manufacture of electro-mechanical systemsExperience of requirements capture, analysis, V&V and configuration managementAbility to provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineersExcellent communication and collaboration skillsThe PackageUp to 62,000 depending on experienceHybrid and flexible working arrangementsHalf-day Fridays25 days annual leave plus buy and sell optionsUp to 16 days flexi leave accrualPrivate medical health insuranceGroup Pension Plan - up to 7% employer contributionAll-staff bonus schemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeCycle to work schemeLife assuranceFree onsite parking and onsite facilities
