COMPANY OVERVIEW: My client has been providing building support services to local authorities, social landlords, NHS trusts and private sector clients for over 45 years. They deliver mechanical, electrical and security services to both commercial and domestic properties and have built a strong reputation for reliable service. JOB PURPOSE: To support the team in carrying out wet work duties including cylinder changes, radiator replacements and upgrades, heating controls (2 port and 3 port valves), pumps, associated pipework and power flushing. This role would suit someone with around 1 year's experience who is looking to build on their skills and progress further. JOB SPECIFICATION: Assist with and carry out plumbing and heating works in occupied and void properties, including attending water leaks. Work to client specifications and complete jobs in a timely manner while following current legislation and company procedures. Carry out basic risk assessments before starting work to ensure safety and prevent damage or injury. Wear correct uniform and PPE at all times when representing the company. Attend allocated jobs within target times and report any delays to your line manager or supervisor. Identify materials and parts required for each job and communicate any additional requirements. Accurately log all work completed using a handheld device. Provide a good level of customer service and maintain a professional attitude in tenants' homes. QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: NVQ Level 1 in Plumbing & Heating Around 1 - 2 year's practical experience in plumbing and heating works Good practical and basic problem-solving skills Able to work independently at times, as much of the work is lone working Good customer service skills Valid CSCS card Asbestos awareness Trained or willing to be trained to work with vulnerable persons Basic understanding of risk assessments Willing to work in confined spaces and at height Desirable: Gas qualification (beneficial but not essential) Full UK Driving Licence SALARY / BENEFITS: Up to 37,500 per year + Overtime 21 days holiday increasing by 1 day every 2 years' service (up to 25 days) + statutory days Company Van, Mobile Phone and Uniform provided (Private Use of Van is Not Allowed) Employee Assistance Programme Employee Referral Scheme Staff Discounts Bonus Scheme Paid weekly via BACS Company Pension Health & Wellbeing Programme TPBN1_UKTJ
